I have had a few people ask me to do a bike check video, so here it is! As you will see I am not very technical when it comes to the bits and pieces. Once I have something how I like it, it is more of a set and forget mentality.
This is the main bike that I ride. It has been on numerous flights around the country, to Patagonia and back in an Evoc bike bag. I ride it on average 5 times a week when I am taking lessons, guiding, and just riding for fun.
I have had this bike since March 2019, I have done a few hardware updates in that time. Here is a list (to the best of my knowledge) of my build in no particular order..

The Zerode story is super cool too. Zerode began here in Rotorua and the bikes were designed by a local, Rob Metz, who has had a lot to do with a lot of the trails in the Redwoods as well. Check out the bike HERE and the Zerode story HERE. These bikes are leading the way for performance, durability and reliability. As someone who uses their bike every day for work, I couldn’t imagine being back on a conventional derailleur set up with all of the cleaning and tuning and maintaining that needs to happen. The ride has been simplified ever since I made the move to buy this bike.
Don’t forget to get in touch to come and ride in Rotorua. We offer lessons and tours of up to 7 days!
