Hit the road and get into the back country in our premiere remote riding area. This intermediate trip, explores the amazing Whirinaki Forest and adds in skills sessions on trails tailor made by nature – fit for putpose! Hang out, ride bikes, enjoy great food & drink and learn some new skills. This all inclusive short trip is fully guided and hosted, ensuring all you need to do is show up, ride and escape. DAY 1
Depart Rotorua –Â Welcome Dinner
We’ll leave Rotorua mid afternoon and head into the heart of Volcanic country. A short drive brings us to Whirinaki Forest and our hut accommodation for the next couple of days. Your hosts/guides will make sure dinner is fantastic tonight, and our accommodation is warm! Our Department of Conservation huts are rustic and remote, but comfortable and warm! We’ll settle in in our slice of paradise.
DAY 2
Skills, riding and forest!
We’ll kick the morning off with a full spread breakfast, and then kick into things with skills workshops, specifically working on maintenance, body position, trail scanning, cornering and breaking. We’ll then delve into Whirinaki Forest – quite possibly one of the THE most beautiful forests in the world and home to some pretty amazing single track! Lets put those skills to use!
DAYÂ 3
Skills, ride and home!
We’ll do it all again today, albeit mixed up a bit! After a warm up into a continuation of our skills workshops. We’ll do some more body position and cornering, as well as foot positioning, angulation, rotation and getting creative with line selection. After lunch we’ll head into another Whirinaki trail gem for an epic ride before packing up and heading home. We hope you’ll have been able get away from it all, share new trails with new friends and gain a few skills along the way!

WHAT TO BRING
Bike, helmet, camera sleeping bag, towel, toiletries, Eating utensils – Knife fork spoon plate cup wine glass, medication
ACCOMMODATION
We’ll be staying at 3 DOC huts that are side by side in an awesome secluded setting. You’ll definitely need your sleeping bag for the DOC huts! There are two showers there and flushing toilet. You won’t have to worry about meals as these are all being prepared by the NZMTB crew!
INCLUSIONS
All breakfasts, lunches and dinners, but bring some baking if you like!
