Set up your bike and over three months, take your riding to the next level. This remote coaching is designed to work around your busy life so that you can improve on your customized skills sessions when the time suits you. This MTB program is designed around you and your riding style to empower you with the tools that you need to progress your riding. See below for details.
Session 1
Course Intro – Set up BrakeAce
Once you sign up, you will have a set of BrakeAce PF 2 sensors sent to you to install on your bike. It’s really quick and easy. Here is a quick video on how to install the sensors. Meet with your coach online to set your expectations and outline how the next couple of months will work.

Session 2
Go Ride Your Bike
Go and ride your favourite local trails. Segments only need to be 1-2km long but there needs to be some braking involved. SO if you have mastered a flow trail and you could take your brakes off of your bike to ride it, pick another track.
Arrange a time one afternoon to catch up with your coach to go over the data that you collected when you recorded your trails. From here you will get a concise list of exercises and work-ons to work on your weaknesses and improve your riding.

Session 3
Go out and try the BrakeAce Method
The BrakeAce Method is a simple 3 step process to improve your riding on a trail of your choice. The app gives you 3 key opportunities for that trail that the app has worked out from the data you have recorded.

It’s simple – Ride the same trail three times.
The first run, ride it as you would.
in the second run, session your key opportunities.
The third and final run is about putting what you learnt from your key opportunities into practice on the whole trail.
Now compare your data with your first and last runs.

Session 4
Ride a trail. Race Pace!
Adding speed is a sure way to encourage bad habits back to the surface. After highlighting your bad habits at the start of the MTB program, and working on ways to improve them for the past two months, it is time to see how you have managed to improve your riding.
Now that you have had some time recording data, seeing what you are truly doing, reviewing it with a coach and working on some weaknesses to make yourself a stronger and more consistent rider improving your overall trail speed.
It’s time to see your overall improvements in your riding.
