This incredible 3-day mountain bike course is designed to improve your riding in one of the best areas to progress in New Zealand. Ride with your new coach for 3 consecutive days to identify key opportunities to boost your confidence and take your riding to the next level. We will take you from intermediate to advanced with three separate rides and two lessons over your time in Rotorua.
DAY 1
Arrive in Rotorua – Dirt Intro
Arriving in Rotorua, first things first, go for a ride, see how the conditions are and ride some fun trails and pick off at least one that is at the upper limit of your abilities. This ride is about meeting everyone and your coach seeing where you are at. Teachable moments will be utilised but day one is just a warm-up.
Time in the forest: 3 hours
DAY 2
Skills and Shuttles
We’ll kick the morning off with a coffee at the local cafe and then kick into things with skills workshops, specifically working on body position, where and what we are looking for, and how to ride drops. We’ll then delve into Whakarewarewa Forest – time to put those skills to use and be coached along on a 3-hour private shuttle!

DAYÂ 3
Skills, shuttle and home!
We’ll do it all again today, albeit mixed up a bit! After a warm-up to a continuation of our skills workshops. We will take the time to delve deeper into some of the more technical aspects of mountain covering things like cornering, drops, or jumping. We will take a break for lunch before heading into the forest again for shuttles. By this stage, we will have a good understanding of where everyone is at and be riding trails that progress your confidence and you can get your flow on. You will be heading home with a newfound confidence and a better understanding of the trail network as a smoother rider.

We can make some recommendations in Rotorua with hotels, houses, motels and campgrounds plenty!
We can also organise food and accommodation as a full package for groups. Let us know if you have a group of mates that you would like us to organise the whole trip for – including airport transfers!
