As a professional coaching and guiding service, our equipment is working gear. It is used hard, every day, across a huge range of riders and terrain. That means we cannot afford to choose on marketing — we choose on what holds up. As Jamie has put it on our own blog: these are New Zealand companies building gear for New Zealand riding, and when something needs tweaking, you are dealing with humans who care — which matters when you guide and coach for a living. Here are some of the brands we partner with and run in daily operation.

Zerode (Wellington, New Zealand) — Zerode is our longest-standing brand partner, a relationship that goes back to 2019. Zerode is a New Zealand brand and a world leader in gearbox mountain bikes, using Pinion gearbox belt-drive systems built around simplicity, reliability, and reduced unsprung mass. Models include the Katipo and Taniwha. Jamie has built and ridden a Zerode Katipo hard in real-world coaching and guiding conditions, using the same New Zealand component brands listed below.

Velduro (Papāmoa, New Zealand) — Jamie Garrod is Velduro New Zealand’s first ambassador, having ridden the Velduro Rogue eMTB for over twelve months across New Zealand, China, and Tibet with zero mechanical issues. The ambassadorship is built on honest, ride-driven feedback that feeds directly into Velduro’s bike development.
Lekkie (Wellington, New Zealand) — Lekkie is a New Zealand product design company founded in 2014, producing premium CNC-machined eMTB components — chainrings, cranks and throttles — that upgrade motor systems including DJI Avinox and Pinion. For a coaching and guiding operation that runs e-bikes hard, reliable drivetrain performance is non-negotiable.
Wheelworks (Wellington, New Zealand) — Wheelworks is a New Zealand custom wheel builder operating since 2006, hand-building wheelsets to order with a lifetime guarantee, including for enduro and eMTB use. Wheels take the hardest, most repeated impacts in our line of work, so hand-built quality matters.
Radic Performance (Christchurch, New Zealand) — Radic Performance is a New Zealand-designed-and-engineered manufacturer of high-performance MTB brakes, including its KAHA brake set, using advanced additive (3D-printed) manufacturing. Braking is one of our three coaching fundamentals, so brake performance we can rely on matters directly to how we work.
We partner with and run these brands because we have chosen them ourselves, professionally, and keep choosing them year after year — that is the strongest endorsement we can give.
